6D ECOTOURISM WILDLIFE CONSERVATION BERAU IN BORNEO

Day 1 ARRIVAL BERAU – MERASA VILLAGE (L, D)

Flight to Berau, Arrival around 5:30 pm. Meet travel guide. By car to Merasa village (2h) / yayasan office HMD. Stay overnight in Lesan.

Day 2 MERASA VILLAGE – LONG SAM PROGRAM (B, L, D)

Visit Merasa village: chocolate and honey production. At midday on Kelay River 45 min to rescue center. Introduction into Long Sam program. Explanation rescue center by vetenerian. Feeding animals together with ranger. Stay overnight in Merasa / Yayasan office.

Day 3 LESAN FOREST – DAYAK VILLAGE (B, L, D)

By boat in the morning 2 h on Kelay river to Lesan forest / camp. Visit forest with ranger in the afternoon. Back to Lesan Dayak village by boat 30 min. Stay overnight as guest with local families on their houses.

Day 4 WEHEA (B, L, D)

By car to Wehea forest / camp (4h). Visit camp and forest. Stay overnight in camp (Wehea).

Day 5 BERAU (B, L, D)

(By car) After breakfast start late morning back to Berau. (5 h) Stay overnight at Palmys hotel. Summary and Feedback on rooftop.

Day 6 DEPARTURE (B)

Flight back to Bali or Jakarta
